Youth Ministry at the First Congregational Church aims to lead our youth to an authentic Christian faith by encouraging, teaching, supporting, and equipping high school and middle school students to take a lifelong journey of following God through Christ. Youth Ministry seeks to grow relationships among young people and with youth leaders based on trust and faith, within the context of family ministry. Hands-on mission activities, worship, fellowship, evangelism, and discipleship lead youth to a deeper understanding and experience of the Christian faith.

Middle School Youth (MSY): Students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 meet during the 10:00 hour on Sunday mornings for fellowship, worship, Christian education, and mission activities. Special events are also scheduled throughout the year on weekend evenings.

High School Youth: Youth Ministry for students in Grades 9 through 12 includes Sunday morning Youth Worship at 10:00 am, Sunday morning ChristCare small groups, and our youth fellowship group Infusion (Sundays at 6:30 pm). Special events and opportunities include mission involvement, Christian concerts, youth worship band, and service projects. The week-long mission trip to H.O.M.E. in Orland, Maine, takes place at the end of June each year.

Confirmation: Open to 8th and 9th graders, the Confirmation program of the First Congregational Church is led by a strong team of adult leaders and mentors, along with support from parents. This dynamic and comprehensive program includes a biblical grounding in the Christian faith, mentoring, mission and service projects, weekend retreats, fellowship, and prayer. Confirmands meet Sunday evenings from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm.
