Each of FCC's ensembles will be seen and heard over the course of the five Sundays of April. The Carol Choir will sing on April 2; the Covenant Choir will sing on April 2, the Chancel Choir will sing April 2, 9, 16, and 23. Additional highlights include Maggie Fleuette playing a piano prelude on April 2; Katherine Marsh and Nicole Salamon singing on Maundy Thursday; Easter Sunday (April 16) with Chris Anderson and Gerry O’Hara leading the music at the Sunrise Service, the Celebration Ringers offering an exciting new piece at the 8:00am service, and David Wood and internist, Edwin Rodriguez, play their trumpets with the Chancel Choir in rousing music at the 9:30am and 11:00am services. Austin Scelzo sings a solo on April 23. The Worship Band returns on Sunday, April 30. The Concert Choir performs perhaps the most unique and moving SPRING CONCERT ever on Sunday, April 30, at 4:00pm. Quoting Professor Harold Hill: "...never a dull moment in the music business".
As a way of introducing the Music Ministry's new Digital Music Intern, Jay Johnson (already third-year member of Celebration Ringers), the Fountain Music Series, now in its 21st season, invites you to “like us” on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FountainMusicSeries. While we thank Jay for his expertise in all things Social Media, as well as creating the new concert posters you may have seen around town, we also deeply thank Brenda Calia for her proficiency in creating and sending out the monthly Fountain Music Series e-blasts. I am so very grateful for all the energy, passion, and activity behind the scenes in FCC’s lively and widely-ministering Music Ministry.
Soli Deo Gloria, Edwin R. Taylor, Minister of Music/Music Director
