Notes on Giving

"You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity."
2 Corinthians 9

Studies have shown that people who are generous are: Happier ~ Healthier ~ Have a greater sense of purpose ~ Less depressed ~ More interested in personal growth

Of course, people who are generous do not give just so that they will be rewarded. They give for many reasons, but whatever their reasons may be, their generosity causes them to have happier and more fulfilling lives. You may have found that to be true in your own life. Everyone gets solicitations for money in the mail, over the phone and on the internet. When you think about your giving this year to First Congregational Church please consider how the church does many things and provides services that touch many people’s hearts. But what the church does best is to change people’s lives. For that we all can be truly grateful.
