This fall we return to our new church house with renewed vigor after months of disruption. First Congregational will fill the Church House again with community meetings and fellowship. As a church, we want to come alongside each person and provide places for them to question, connect, learn, be challenged and serve others. To make an impact on the future, the church will be passionate about what God wants for people - generosity, the joy of serving, better families, and of course, Christ at the center of everyone's life.

The Church Council has decided on the theme "MAKING AN IMPACT" for the 2017-2018 church year. This has been divided into three trimesters of focus:

  • HELPING THOSE IN NEED (sept-dec),
  • ASSISTING IN & BEYOND OUR COMMUNITY (may-aug). All of the church ministries and committees will rally around these themes to create a common goal.

For this trimester of HELPING THOSE IN NEED, the Mission Ministry is focusing on Hunger and Homelessness with an extra emphasis on A.R.C. The youth will be involved in Midnight/Breakfast Run and Thanksgiving Baskets, OBOS will be discussing "Hillbilly Elegy" by J.D. Vance. Watch for other offerings from Adult Ed and ChristCare, as well as others. I hope you will participate in as much as possible so the church can make an Impact on you and others,
