Master Plan Update

As workers complete the final project work, it is time to thank everyone who has been and continues to be part of it all.

The Steering Committee has often been the visible face of the project. However, the team that made it happen is much larger. It includes:

  • Everyone who cared, offered suggestions, argued for a particular solution, reacted to any of the many plan iterations, or pointed out things that could be better.
  • Everyone who contributed, is continuing to contribute, or plans to contribute financially. Our costs are on budget. To cover those costs we need those who have made commitments to fulfill them or even improve on them. We hope that others will be moved to contribute, and that we will find ourselves with unspent contributions, which the Steering Committee will use to address deferred work efforts.
  • The professional resources who translated our wishes into designs, designs into plans, and plans into actual construction: Doyle Coffin Architecture; our Owner's Representative, Robert Cavello; our Construction Manager, AP Construction; and the numerous contractors who actually did the hands on work. All of these folks should be proud of the building they delivered.
  • This has truly been a community effort, a success created by a large and varied team working together: respectfully listening to many points of view, arguing about priorities, and always focused on the best way to meet our functional and financial objectives and deliver a modern and welcoming space.

Now we have a building that can support our community and mission for years to come. Thank you to the entire team!
