Breakfast Run - Profound thanks to ALL confirmands, leaders, parents & volunteers for their service to the homeless of NYC. You collected, shopped, labeled, sorted, cooked, drove, and distributed clothing, shoes, toiletries, and food to people in need - those who Mother Theresa lovingly referred to as "Jesus in his most distressing disguise."

H.O.M.E. Trip - High school students sign up NOW. For almost 30 years, FCC has led teen groups to Orland, Maine to help build houses, do repairs, and engage in service projects with Homeworkers Organized for More Employment.

Confirmation Sundays ~ 7:15-8:45 pm on 3/25, 3/30 (Good Friday afternoon service), 4/15, 4/29. No classes on 4/1 (Easter) or 4/8 (spring break).

3/26 at 6:15 pm - High School Supper & Speaker Meet for dinner in Shields House before going together to hear Jeff Hatch on Living A Life of Purpose & Perseverance at the Playhouse (7:30 pm). Former college and NFL football player shares his life experiences and decline into opiate addiction, and new life in recovery in order to educate and inspire high school & college students.

4/4 Yale's Youth Ministry Institute features author and professor Dr. Tony Campolo: Abounding Joy - Grace & Its Consequences. Young people today often discover God's grace through social justice as well as through religious conversion. Youth leaders and interested parents depart FCC at 11 am for YDS Lunch & Learn.

4/9 FCC Art Night at Inspirica - Middle and high school students will assist the young children living in transitional housing in Stamford with a time of art and enrichment. Carpools leave FCC at 5:15 pm and return at 7:30 pm. Sign up NOW to offer a time of hope and fun for children (and respite for single parents), all living through extremely challenging times.

4/20-22 - Confirmation Retreat at Silver Lake Conference Center - Closing retreat (mandatory) before confirmation: a time for reflection, fellowship, discussion, fun, special projects, worship, and writing faith statements at the UCC camp in Sharon, CT.

4/28 - SeaSide Escape ~ high school young women are our honored guests at this year's June 9th women's retreat. Speak with Pastor Karen to register for this special gathering, and perhaps to join the planning meeting to help create a special group for teens.

Mark your calendars: 5/5 at 7 pm - We are going to a presentation by Dr. Diane Butler Bass, acclaimed author of Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening, and also of Grounded: Finding God in the World-A Spiritual Revolution.
