5/20 Confirmation Sunday! Rejoice with us as we welcome our FCC confirmands into full membership of our fellowship. Encourage those confirmands who will continue their learning this summer with the goal of confirmation in September. We honor Christian discipleship as a lifelong discipline, and honor the spirit of our UCC denomination's motto: "No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here."

5/2 Youth Ministry Institute at Yale features the Reverend Dr. Almeda M. Wright, Assistant Professor of Religious Education at Yale Divinity School. Her research focuses on adolescent spiritual development, and the intersections of religion and public life. She is co-editor of Children, Youth, and Spirituality in a Troubling World. Mr. Nyle Fort is a Ph.D. Student at Princeton University, a preacher, activist and organizer, as well as former youth pastor. Youth leaders and interested parents depart FCC at 11 am for YDS Lunch & Lecture.

FCC teens and parents - sign up to serve Homefront on Saturday, May 5th. Homefront is a community-based, volunteer program that provides repairs and maintenance to struggling local homeowners, free of charge. These services include carpentry, painting, yard work and clean-up. You can bring encouragement and hope to a neighbor in need. 5/5 at 7 pm - Let's go together to learn from nationally acclaimed scholar, author, and speaker Dr. Diane Butler Bass whose works include: Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening, and also of Grounded: Finding God in the World-A Spiritual Revolution. We leave the FCC parking lot for the Courage & Faith lecture in Greenwich at 5:45 pm.
