OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC

Some highlights of May's music include:

  • The Chancel Choir singing a new anthem by Craig Courtney, Passacaglia of Praise, in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services on Sunday, May 6,
  • The Youth Band leading in worship on Sunday, May 13 (FCC's Confirmation Sunday), whilst Faith and I are in Tampa for the baptism of our third grandchild,
  • Yours truly performing Edward Elgar's Enigma Variations on the organ with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra (Sir William Boughton, Music Director) on Thursday, May 18, at 8:00 p.m., at Woolsey Hall (Yale),
  • The incomparable CHOIR OF MEN AND BOYS FROM CHRIST CHURCH, GREENWICH, performing on the Fountain Music Series on Friday, May 18, at 8:00 p.m., in preparation for their tour to England this Summer,
  • FCC's annual Music Recognition Sunday, May 20, featuring representation by several of the many 'arms' of FCC's Music Ministry,
  • Our own Jacob Hoffman singing a solo in the 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services on Sunday, May 27, and
  • The Concert Choir and Celebration Ringers preparing all month long to perform with TIM ZIMMERMAN & THE KING'S BRASS in a PATRIOTIC CONCERT to end all Patriotic Concerts on Friday, June 1, at 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m., paying special honor and tribute to those who have died in the United States Armed Services in the pursuit of freedom and justice.
