HOME Trip 2012

Fund Raising ~ Vital
Made Easy Online

Greetings to All of Our FCC Family and Friends,

April 22nd marked the kick off of this year’s fund
raising effort for our annual Youth Service Mission Trip to HOME. This year, like most in the recent past has us taking a good sized group of Youth (92) and Adult & College Leaders (38).

As always the amount of projects that Sister Lucy has on her “To Do List” is extensive and varied. Because we are by far the largest group of volunteers with the most organization and construction talent and know how, our friends at HOME have come to depend on us in a very big way. The FCC – Ridgefield group pretty much sets the tone of what will be accomplished each summer. We set them up by initiating and organizing several projects that we get to a certain point which other groups, with some supervision, can continue.

Our primary limitation is budgetary. Everything is increasing in cost, and the supplies and materials we need to accomplish the many HOME projects are no exception. Our fund raising support is vital to the amount we can accomplish!

We have made it easier and more convenient to donate to this major youth mission trip and long standing partnership of FCC. Please see below the easy steps to follow to help us help our friends at HOME.

The steps to donate online are as follows:

  • Go to the First Congregational web page - www.firstcongregational.com
  • Click on “Donations”
  • Click on HOME (on the left side)
  • Scroll down to the type of donation you would like to make (Most folks buy shingles)
  • Click on the word “Donate” next to the type of donation you would like to make.
  • Scroll down to the form and fill in the requested information
  • Scroll through the “participant” list to the volunteer you wish to support
  • Scroll further down to the amounts and the means you wish to pay for these donations
  • Click on either the credit card or electronic check button, and fill out the proper info.
  • Confirm the information and click on “Submit Donation”

Thank you for your support and commitment to this life changing mission trip – life changing for both the folks in Maine and the volunteers. God Bless You.
