THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness is not easy. Join us in the parlor on Saturday, June 16th from 9:30-noon for a screening of Journey Films’ award-winning documentary, The Power of Forgiveness, followed by a time of reflection, discussion, and prayer. The film features stories about the murdered Amish schoolchildren, the 9/11 tragedy, peace-building in Northern Ireland, and interviews with renowned Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, Nobel Laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, best-selling authors Thomas Moore and Marianne Williamson, and the Reverend Lyndon Harris, with whom I served at St. Paul’s Chapel at Ground Zero. The film also explores the role forgiveness holds in various faith traditions, and the medical ramifications of unforgiveness.
