Our Ministry Of Music

"Summer Music 2012" continues in August featuring some special fare for worship enhancement. Soprano, Teresa Eldh, one of the soloists in this past February’s Fountain Music Series performance of Warren Martin’s The True Story of Cinderella, will sing on Sunday, August 5.

SUMMER CHOIR II (welcomes you as it) gathers at 8:30 a.m. and sings in the 10:00a.m. worship service on Sunday, August 12. On Sunday, August 19, our own Kristen Lussier, oboist, will play a piece by Mozart.

Then, on Sunday, August 26, the same Kristen Lussier, this time as FCC’s illustrious solo handbell ringer, will play two pieces. I am indebted to each of these musicians, as well as those who, in June and July (including Chris Anderson, Jack Anderson, Mike Crescenzo, Ben Crosby, Kenneth Isman, Gjorgj Kroqi, Gerry O’Hara, Lisa and Jon Murray, Alison Schonberg, Jessica Stein, Greg Zaic, and SUMMER CHOIR I) gave of their time and talents to enhance our worship services.

As most of you probably know, my wife and I, after ten and a half years, sold our four-bedroom home in Bethel and moved to Ridgefield this past May. We now live sixty seconds from the church at 27 West Lane, Apt. #1 - B. Our new telephone number is 203.438.0387, and our e-mails remain unchanged: fafert@sbcglobal.net and music@firstcongregational.com. Come by anytime and visit us in our quaint Victorian home where all the antiques (including the two of us) fit right in!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Edwin R. Taylor, Music Director/Minister of Music
