Our History
The Church Is Gathered
The official establishment of the Church came on October 9, 1712, when the General Assembly at Hartford, upon petition of the inhabitants of Ridgefield, passed the following act:
"...This Assembly doth order that all the lands lying in the Township of Ridgefield be taxed in the proportion for four years, towards the settling and maintaining of the ministry in the said Town of Ridgefield."
