Through sharing these stories and our own, we will grow in our faith and love of Jesus Christ. We meet Wednesday evenings, 7:00 pm -8:30 pm following the Wednesday evening fellowship dinner.

Ladies at Lunch
Small Group Leader: Gail Slay
Phone: (203) 438-8077

This group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month in the library of FCC, from noon - 1:00 pm. We select a book to discuss, usually over a 4 or 5 session dialogue. Biblical Equipping and prayer, and sharing joys and concerns complement the discussions. Bring a lunch and join us for an hour! Contact Gail Slay with questions.

Movies With a Message
Small Group Leader: Paul Siegel and Sheri Lussier
Phone: (203) 438-8077

The primary intent is to discover - and in many cases rediscover - those movies that you may have forgotten about or always wanted to see. Within discovery, the group will interpret the special theme(s) they communicate and what they may convey about our lives even today. We've had lively discussions over the numerous movies we've screened thus far, some eclectic (Lars & the Real Girl), real classics (Inherit the Wind, Citizen Kane), Christmas themed (The Gathering) and just plain ole everyday movies that have been released recently. Please contact Paul or Sheri for details.

One Book, One Season
Small Group Leader: Varies
Phone: (203) 438-8077

"Between the Dark and the Daylight: Embracing the Contradictions of Life" by Joan Chittister "One of the greatest spiritual writers of our time offers this unique examination into finding God in the contradictions of daily life. How do we find God when we feel lonely, despite a full inbox of emails? How do moments of failure impact our success? This book provides answers to these questions and many more. It is a thought-provoking spiritual read for the Lenten Season." - Carlene Demiany Teaching Minister, FCC "Beloved author Joan Chittester has written countless books and articles that are pillars of peace, faith, prophetic justice, and personal devotion. Between the Dark and the Daylight invites us to explore some of the most difficult questions of faith, loss, discouragement, hope, sorrow, and strength. The life of faith is not one of easy answers, but of challenges, growth, hard-won trust, and renewal. Chittester leads us through those 'dark nights of the soul' and shining moments of the light of God's grace to a place where the tensions of life's perplexing paradoxes, understood rightly, are faith-building rather than soul-crushing." - Rev. Karen Halac Associate Minister, FCC This next in our ongoing series of OBOS small groups will start with a Kickoff event on February 21 at 11:30 a.m. following the 10:00 service. Then the group will meet on the next four Sundays. These groups, offered on Sunday evenings and Wednesdays mid-day (choose the group that works best for your schedule), are led by trained ChristCare leaders and provide a unique opportunity to explore inspiring and sometimes challenging themes within the caring, respectful environment of a ChristCare small group. ONE BOOK, ONE SEASON is a great way to experience the rewarding ChristCare small group experience without making a long-term commitment.

Thursday Morning Women's Bible Study
Small Group Leader: Sharon Greene
Phone: (203) 438-8077

You are invited to join our open circle of friends who meet each week to learn more about God's word. Some of us are new to this and others are "scholars". Either way, we are all blessed by the comments and questions that arise. We study the Bible, alternating between the Old and the New Testaments . Prayer and fellowship are also an important part of our mornings. Come and marvel at God's great patience and love and learn more about what our Savior, Jesus Christ, has done for you. We meet every Thursday (in the summer too) from 11:00 am -12:30 pm in the church parlor and would love to have you be part of the circle.
